Halfway down the Island is the fishing village of Messongi. Now it is the center
of a holiday resort with many of the modern anemities. The beaches here are all
sandy and the waters are crystal clear, all together making a wonderful vacation
spot.
Away from this vacation area but close enough to easily participate in it is a small stand alone two bedroom cottage. This cottage is close to the Messongi River, one of the few rivers on Corfu.
The picture on the left shows the terrace and the front entrance to the house. The present owner has recently installed aluminum, double-glazed windows with shutters and mosquitoe screens.
These are a few pictures of the interior. The cottage comes as is other than a few personal belongings. One can see that the present owners, a young German couple with grown children, have made many improvements to the house. Much of the electricity has been rewired, the plumbing in the bathroom has been brought up to date and there are new German Bosch kitchen appliances.
There are two bedrooms, open kitchen, bathroom and livingroom with a fireplace for those chilly evenings. There is a protected terrace all around the house to take advantage of those beautiful summer evenings.
This is just the home for a young couple who want to have a holiday home on a warm Meditterranean Island.
