The
Mani is the southernmost tip of the middle finger of the
Peloponnese. It is an unspoilt and fascinating region of
Greece, rich in history, tradition and unique
architecture. The capital of the "Inner"
Mani is Areopoli, 80 km south of Kalamata. This little
country town lies on a plateau 250 m above the sea and
has magnificent views of the Gulf of Messinia.

The
closest beach is roughly three minutes by car at Neo
Oitylo. Closer still, Limeni the port of Areopoli offers
a jetty where you can dive into the crystal clear
turquoise sea. There are numerous lonely little bays for
swimming and picnics to be discovered (with a little help
from us). The area is ideal for vacationers who are
looking for a quiet holiday away from the mainstream of
tourism. |
