- Completely Free Software
- “This site was born from frustration – frustration that many of the so-called ‘free software’ sites were not offering freeware but shareware, time-limited, or demo software which cost money to use or are not really functional. Only the download was ‘free’.
Even when genuinely free software was offered (usually mixed with shareware), many times there was no indication of its quality, download size, or even which of the listed programs were shareware and which were freeware.
The CFS site is designed to cater to those requirements – good quality, genuinely free software which has been checked and rated – programs I use and ones which you will want to use too. While descriptions are brief, there is usually much more information on the program’s homepage (where the link will usually take you).
For more information about why this site was created, and about a pirate computer club which started my software collecting, please check out

- THE PROJECT HELLINOMNIMON
- " Hellinomnimon is a digital library which consists of all the philosophical and scientific manuscripts written in Greek from 1600 to 1821. The first phase of Hellinomnimon has been completed from September 1995 to September 1997. This phase involved the process of digitizing all the books. The second phase involves the analogous processes for the manuscripts and is projected to be completed by 2002.
The totality of the philosophical and scientific corpus written in the Greek language from 1600 to 1821 consists of two large categories. The first category consists of the books which had been published in Vienna, Venice, Paris, Constantinople, and Leipzig. These comprise 204 volumes of 53,000 pages in total. The second category contains the manuscripts - those written by the respective authors or the copies of extant originals. These make up a volume of over 500,000 pages. Among other places, these manuscripts are to be found in the various National and private libraries in Greece, France and Russia, in the Library of the Patriarchates in Istanbul, Jerusalem and Alexandria, in the Bodleian Library in Oxford, in various libraries of Turkey as well as in libraries of monasteries in Greece, Rumania, Bulgaria and Russia.

- Perseus
- " Perseus is a continually growing digital library of resources for studying the ancient world. The library's materials include ancient texts and translations, philological tools, maps, extensively illustrated art catalogs, and secondary essays on topics like vase painting. A collaborative team from a number of academic institutions has worked together to amass Perseus materials. Over 70 museums have shared pictures of their art objects. Read more about the contents of Perseus and our project's aims.
Planning for Perseus began in 1985. A first, Macintosh-based, CD ROM version of Perseus was released in 1992. A second CD ROM version for the Macintosh, Perseus 2.0, is now available from Yale University Press. Perseus staff provide many of the Perseus 2.0 resources on the Perseus Web site, which has been growing since spring 1995.
We are now working on ancient science, Greek lexicography, and more sophisticated electronic tools for the study of ancient literature. We are also preparing Roman materials for inclusion in the library.
The Perseus office is located in 124 Eaton Hall, Tufts University, Medford, MA 02155, and is part of the Classics Department. The Editor in Chief of Perseus is Gregory Crane, Associate Professor of Classics at Tufts.

- Jerusalem Christian Review: A Newspaper with a Mission!
- " All those who have been associated with the Jerusalem Christian Review and its various ministries during the past 29 years know that there is absolute proof to the truth of the Bible, and that it is readily available. Too many Christians are not aware of the overwhelming amount of evidence, which, hidden for centuries, has been recently discovered. There is powerful testimony, left for us by the Lord and His first disciples, of the everlasting truth of God's Word.
The Jerusalem Christian Review is the only ministry dedicated to bringing these discoveries to the knowledge of every Christian. When they see the abundance of evidence recently uncovered in the Holy Land, both faithful Christians as well as non-believers will be stunned.

- BibleWorks
- " BibleWorks is one of the most powerful and economically priced Bible Research Programs available.Using BibleWorks you can do everything from simple word studies on the English Bible to complex morphological analysis of the original Greek and Hebrew texts. Users who do not know the original languages have access to the wealth of information provided by the Strong's Coding system, which provides original language analysis of every word or phrase in the tagged English, German, French and Dutch versions in BibleWorks. Users who know a little Greek and/or Hebrew will be delighted to find that BibleWorks gives instant access to parsing and lexical information on every word in the Greek New Testament and Hebrew Old Testament, and with some restrictions on every word in the Greek Old Testament (the Septuagint). Browsing around in BibleWorks is a great way to refresh and improve your language skills. Scholars who are at home in the original languages will find that the morphological analysis tools provided in BibleWorks open up research possibilities which were completely impossible only a few short years ago. There is something in the package for almost everyone. BibleWorks is simple enough to provide hours of fun and enrichment to the novice computer-user, but has the capability to do very complex analytical tasks with ease and great speed. "

- SwordSearcher
- " SwordSearcher is a powerful program designed to help you study God's Word. SwordSearcher features powerful searching, easy browsing, multiple user-created note sets, and several plug-in commentaries and study helps. SwordSearcher is written by a Bible Believer for Bible Believers. I am a firm believer that "precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little" (Isaiah 28:9), and my software is designed upon that principle. I have written SwordSearcher to help you "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15) And while this program is not free (except to try), it is inexpensive, and I do donate my program to those unable to afford it when they ask. "
