As plastics and rubber come in many different varieties, the tests used to determine their characteristics are many. Tensile, compression, bending and tear properties can be tested by Zwick universal testing machines , while hardness tests according to Shore, Rockwell or other methods can be performed with hardness testers. Different characteristics, like impact strength, viscosity number, dynamic properties and others can be tested with different apparatusses.
