VIEWING AREA - SUGGESTIONS -
The drawing above shows the view from McDollands restaurant on the 4th floor. With a xx-200mm lens you can get any Jetliner till taxyway D. 300mm lens recomended for the runway. During winter the sunlight is bad all the day but the Summer the track of the sun is as above (red line). PLEASE try to use THAT place for spotting. Avoid to blocking the bridges with cars. Talk with the airport security in all cases and inform them for your activities. If they know who are you and whats your interests they will help you. In any other case follow their instructions-suggestions. They have their reasons but they know now what "spotting" means. Remember the runway usage (local times): 0700-1500 03L=arrivals and 03R=departures, 1500-2300 03L=departures and 03R=arrivals. ALL non-stage III/chapter III aircraft departing 03L. No specific allocations when 21L/R is in use. About 90% of the movements since opening use runway 03L/R.

Also you are invited to quote your request to Athens Aviation Enthusiasts in order to add all the visitors names at that website. You can use your name or a nickname, e-mail, date you visit Athens, flight number etc. Every one join that will be credited.
